Altitude tip
Your first two days in Cusco decide your trek.
- Arrive at least 48 hours before any trek above 4,000 m.
- Walk gently on day one and drink coca tea or plenty of water.
- Start with Humantay: it is the acclimatisation your body will thank you for.
- If you get a strong headache, tell us: we carry oxygen.

Questions
Before you book
How hard is Salkantay?
Demanding because of altitude, not technique. If you can walk an hour without stopping and spent two days acclimatising in Cusco, you will make it.
What if it rains or snows?
We go unless there is an official alert. If the pass is closed, we change route or date at no cost.
What should I bring?
Layers, rain jacket, hat, sunscreen, two litres of water and your passport. Poles if you have them.
Can I pay by card?
Yes. The deposit goes by payment link or PayPal, the balance in cash or card.
Do you run private groups?
Yes, from two people. Message us with your date for a quote.
